FORWARD launches Mentoring Platform
 
FORWARD introduces a new initiative, the FORWARD Mentoring Platform. With this platform, FORWARD offers the possibility for individuals within the legal profession to be linked on a confidential basis to a more senior mentor. The FORWARD Mentoring Platform is also open to law students. 

The mentor and the mentee can determine the form and content of the mentorship together. Possible themes are thoughts and experiences with regard to LGBTQI+ in your work environment, (follow-up) steps in your career and challenges that play a role (whether or not LGBTQI+-related) or other experiences and challenges that you as LGBTQI+ may encounter. The frequency is also up to you; contact with a mentor can be a one-off or on a more (irregular) basis. 

In principle, a mentee is linked to a mentor within the same sector. That is, a lawyer would be linked to a more senior lawyer (for example, a senior employee or partner) and a company lawyer would be linked to a more senior company lawyer. If there are other wishes, the mentee can indicate this. For the mentee, this platform is not only a great opportunity to learn from the experiences of a mentor outside their own organization, but also an opportunity to broaden the professional network. For the mentor, this platform offers the opportunity to keep abreast of what is going on among the younger generation and to provide guidance. Do you want to use the benefits of this platform?
