Mission

Diversity and inclusion contribute to job satisfaction, productivity and innovation. An inclusive culture and working environment in which everyone can be themselves is not only "the right thing to do", but also contributes to the success of a company or organization. 

Our mission is to promote acceptance, recognition and visibility of lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgenders, queers, intersexuals and others ("LGBTs") within the Dutch legal profession. With this, FORWARD aims to promote an inclusive environment for all legal professionals, independent of sexual orientation or (gender) identity. By creating a platform and discussing topics that concern LGBTs in particular, FORWARD supports its founders and friends, increases the visibility of LGBTs in their working environment and strengthens the business network of its supporters. 

For a minority, change can only be achieved with the support of the majority. FORWARD therefore welcomes all legal professionals, regardless of their own sexual orientation or identity.

 


Goals

By organizing substantive meetings and networking events, FORWARD pursues the following goals:
 
» increasing the diversity of affiliated organizations; 
» creating a network for LGBTQI+ legal professionals; and 
» exchanging experiences and best practices.
